Who me
My name is Jamie Bandos and these are my tales-my search-my way of life that I can not resist to live to the fullest. I am here to tell you my stories of travels from both close and far. Not only do I love to write, but I hope to offer you some assistance with your future travels. My assistance may be brought to you via links to other great sites, info regarding travel dilemmas, or my favorite- inspiration. Many great tales have already passed as my passport lay with stamps and creases, but there are definitely more to come with each new day. This is a lifestyle that I have invested in or has invested it’s identity into me. I can not explain the passion that I have for the movement; it is one that captivates me and scares me all in the same. It is “THE” roller coaster ride that at it’s peak; I begin to lose it, gain it, and find out who I truly am. The journey shows me a way into a fuller understanding of all my desires. I will not look back upon my moments in life and dream of them as lost stories in night-time fairy tales, or Kodak moments that crinkle in my age-old wrinkling finger tips. I will be enriched and realize that they are the life that runs through my veins and beats with will in my heart. I will smile whole heartedly knowing that with every deep breath a new moment is occurring in front of me – to seek and to live.
Consistently I will be updating my site in order to bring you fresh tales to enjoy. As all great shows start: sit back, relax, grab some popcorn, and enjoy. Here is where you begin to hear my mind:
“My head is cupped in my hands as I scan my bedroom with a quirky smile. I am not intrigued with walls covered in memorable pictures from my past, a corner nightstand lingering with nic nacs, or vibrant green plants that would give evidence of longevity in a home. I am amused with my travel trampled pack laid out in the corner with a checklist near, large brown boxes sealed with packing tape ready for departure to yet another storage unit, and a disheveled bed in the center of the room that I lay my dreams to rest upon for at least another week. The doors of opportunity have opened in front of me once again, and who am I to disregard another adventure.” (June 28th 2011)
I will shorten a poem that has stood bold in my mind for many years, and will always ring loud as I stand with a decision before me.
“I shall be telling this with a sigh; Somewhere ages and ages hence; Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.” The Road Not Taken; Robert Frost 1916
To all of those that know me: Here’s to LIVING THE DREAM
