Resources
As an avid traveler and a full time lover of life; I want to help others along the way. Whether it be through inspiration, insight, or information I hope that my assistance finds the right tones with you. As; My So Called Moments has become my tales displayed for all to wonder through, Live n Travel; my other writing project has become the resource site needed to follow your dreams.
Logistical:
Live n Travel: is an informative and inspirational travel site for you to interact within. We intend to give you all the tools that you will ever need to begin your next journey. After we have filled your mind with faraway lands and possible holidays; we want you to contact us regarding your next travel plans. Feel free to ask us all of the questions that you ever had regarding your travel wants, needs and desires by emailing us directly or attending our international travel forum.
Travel.State.Gov: This site will give you information regarding passports, visas, currency, local warnings or news, and cultural information. PLEASE read it for what it is; it is the black and white that you want, and not the fear that they occasionally fill the news with. I have been robbed and take advantage of more within the United States than I have abroad, but I would not travel into a country that is laden with war or about to see an enormous natural disaster.
Local Networking:
WWOOF: World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms/ I highly recommend this to everyone young or old. This program is not solely about farming, but the lifestyles in which local people live. They are not looking for laborers, but friends to share their amazing lives with, whether it be for a few days or months.
Helpx is a home-style exchange similar to WWOOF, however the one advantage that it seems to have is that it is more urban oriented in some areas than WWOOF- allowing you to stay within or closer to large cities. Do take this comment with a grain of salt as I only used Helpx in New Zealand & Australia.
Couchsurfing has seen a boom and I for one support the friendships and communities that it is helping to build. You do not need to stay with others or have people stay with you to be apart of Couchsurfing. I have arranged meetings for coffee, pints, group dinners, hikes, snowboarding, and even just emailing as pen pals to learn more of the area that I’d like to travel.
Friends:
As a traveler, an experiencer, and a friend to all; I do love hearing what others imagine and what dream they are carrying out. It would be rude not to allow you all the same opportunity. Here are a few friends that are writing their tales as well. Please enjoy.
